They moved us from a room next to a room with a barking dog and compensated with breakfast.
It should have a hot tub in the pool area.

Nice hotel with courteous staff. Lacking a hot tub in the pool area is the only drawback. The pool was nice though.

Convenient parking, nice room, restaurant in hotel a plus.
Had to pay to park in hotel parking garage.

Hotel was very nice, offers a great view outward across the capitol city. Room was neat and organized in a way my family was not crowded. There was a big pool that we did not get to use but it looked nice, and there was also a penthouse nightclub that we did not check out but looked cool. There is also a nice Starbucks coffee shop and Bennigans restaurant in the lobby, which was very nice. ...read more

It's shape and height.
The bathroom was dirty with hair on the floor and soap in the tub. In 2nd room the bathroom light did not work.

Cleanliness was an issue. Location was excellent. I would not want to stay their again.

Nicely furnished-modern. good towels. restaurant/shopping on site. central location.

I thought the hotel was nicely decorated--pretty modern. Flat screen tv in room. Kids enjoyed the pool--the towels at the pool were better than average. The pool was a little smaller than expected, but it was perfect for our needs--a little playtime for the kids. Staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was very fast. We ended up asking for a crib and it was furnished for free and very quickly. I wasn't thrilled about paying for parking, but it was only 5.50 for the 24 hours. Compared to chicago parking rates that's nothing! ...read more

The beds and an 11a.m. checkout

Great. The beds were extremely comfortable, the buffet breakfast was fresh and with a great variety. The room extremely clean. Staff smiling and helpful and happy to see us. Parking was convenient and very moderately priced. The hotel rate was so reasonable for the ammenities offered. I will definitely stay there next summer. We didn't have time to see everything in two days so we will be going back. I've stayed at the cheapest hotels up to the Ritz so I know how to rate them. ...read more

It was a nice to be able to get relaxed and comfortable
in bed and not have to worry about noise. My 9 year old daughter slept really well.
It wasn't as clean as what I thought it would be. There was a pizza box that sat outside of someones room and moved to a ash tray hidden.

When we arrived at the hotel the bell hop came up right away and greeted me. I entered into building with a good feeling walked right up to the counter and had a nice polite girl wait on me. I also asked if they offered a military discount in which they discounted our rooms on top of the Priceline discount. That was a wonderful thing. I was dissatisfied by the fact that I had to pay to park for the whole weekend. It wasn't outrageous but most people didn't count that as an expense for a hotel stay. Room was decent clean and peaceful, however, the hallway was dirty and the elevators took awhile. My husband tried to get a soda from the soda machine and it wouldn't give a soda nor refund the money, they hotel refunded it back. It was located near a bunch of free activities to do which saved on cost and it was a nice learning experience for my daughter on Abraham Lincoln. People around were nice and friendly. The restaurants were not the greatest in the hotel. The breakfast buffet was over priced and Bennigans wasn't that greatest. We however had a wonderful experience at there Coldstone Creamery near by. Overall if I ever needed to use that as my meeting destination I would maybe consider them again. The experience wasn't an on my I needed to come back but it wasn't bad where I wouldn't either. ...read more

I liked the fact that it was in the heart of Springfield and close to everything.
They offered a free breakfast buffet, but restaurant was small and had a bit of a wait. But hey, it was free.

I have stayed here before and I will stay here again. Friendly staff and the room were nice.

East to find, convenient to local attractions.
Breakfast room was crowded and had to wait to get in.

Conveniently located, well worth the price. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful pointing out the local attractions and giving directions. Would definitely stay on a return visit as well as recommend it to others. ...read more
